Who We Are

Magnesol Applied Research and Entrepreneurship Mentoring (MAREM) is a non-governmental organization focused on empowering individuals through education, applied research, and entrepreneurship. Established with a mission to offer quality distance learning, weekend seminars, and practical mentorship, MAREM provides learners, researchers, and entrepreneurs access to world-class education and mentorship programs.

To empower individuals in Africa and beyond to address societal challenges and contribute to their communities through access to education and mentorship.

Mission:
To mentor learners, researchers, and entrepreneurs across key disciplines, including Biomedical Science, Management Science, Education, and Theology, with a focus on applied research and practical solutions to societal problems.

Distance Learning Programs

MAREM offers flexible, modular learning in the following disciplines:

These programs are available at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels, with certifications recognized by partner universities in Nigeria, the USA, and France.  

Weekend Seminars

MAREM organizes weekend seminars that provide face-to-face training sessions focused on practical skills in applied research, entrepreneurship, and various specialized areas within its disciplines.

Mentorship Programs

MAREM’s mentorship programs are designed to guide students at different academic levels (Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral) and include short-term mentorship for entrepreneurs seeking to develop business skills.

Community Outreach

In addition to academic programs, MAREM is committed to community outreach. Through public health initiatives, educational workshops, and scholarships, MAREM actively engages in improving the well-being of local communities.

Departments

— Biomedical Science

MAREM’s Biomedical Science department is dedicated to advancing public health research and developing indigenous drugs, such as Magnesol, which is used for treating gastritis and gastric ulcers. Disciplines within this department include Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and related fields.

— Management Science

The Management Science department provides education and mentorship in business management, entrepreneurship, and project management, equipping individuals with the skills needed to lead and innovate in their respective fields.

— Education

MAREM’s Education department focuses on curriculum studies and pedagogy, offering distance learning programs designed to enhance teaching and administrative skills.

— Theology

The Theology department offers studies in Biblical Studies, Missiology, and Systematic Theology. These programs emphasize practical applications of theological principles and offer mentorship to those seeking to deepen their religious knowledge and leadership skills.

Research & Development:

— Biomedical Science

The Biomedical Science department is focused on the development of indigenous drugs, such as Magnesol. Ongoing research projects are aimed at improving public health through the production of locally sourced medications and solutions for detoxifying internal organs.

— Management Science

Research in this department includes entrepreneurial strategies and case studies that explore innovative business solutions in various industries.

— Education

The Education department conducts research on effective teaching methodologies and the development of curricula that can be applied in distance learning environments.

— Theology

The Theology department conducts research on religious doctrines and their applications within community settings, focusing on how theology can inspire positive societal change.

Laboratories

MAREM operates state-of-the-art Chemical Technology Laboratories in Bamenda, Cameroon. These laboratories are a hub for the development and production of biomedical products, such as Magnesol. Research at these facilities is geared towards public health improvement and the production of affordable healthcare solutions.
